Mr. Okotie has extensive experience in areas such as Corporate Insolvency and Business Recovery, Commercial Law and Litigation. He also has litigation experience representing clients in the trial and appellate Courts on matters relating to commercial disputes, corporate insolvency, debt recovery and election petition.
He has put to good use his negotiation skills, particularly in settlement negotiations between Dana Airlines and the major ground victims of the “Dana Crash” of 3rd of June, 2012, amongst other cases. He has been able to apply his acquired knowledge and skill towards proper management, restructuring and rescuing of insolvent companies under receivership appointed by some financial institutions and Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria, as well as recovering the debts owed to the secured creditors. He has also applied his knowledge in the management and concessioning of rig assets of a major indigenous oil drilling and rig company under receivership.
